his paper explores the problem of virtue, understood as a mental disposition and its impact on the existence of human subject. The concepts of virtues developed by philosophers over the different eras are now the inspiration for psychology, mostly positive psychology. The aim of this analysis is to verify the hypothesis of a relationship between the possession of specific virtues and a sense of the quality of life. The research method is based on an analysis of the literature.
